Ubertas

Ubertas Winery in Nuriootpa/ Barossa Valley features this drinking fountain inside the planted maze.

The bright blue/ turquoise mosaic on the front symbolises water and is visible from afar. The transparent Italian smalti catches the sun and reflects the water colours.

The fountain serves people and the run off is collected in a animal drinking bowl.

La Bise

La Bise - a kiss - a well known wine brand - the mosaic features above the entrance of this wine business.

Made with reds of Italian and Mexican smalti , that will last well in the harsh Australian sun.

Community

Eudunda Chaise Longue

For the celebration of Eudunda's 150 Anniversary, the community secured a FRRR grant to build a chaise longue or bench in the Centenary Gardens. A local stone mason built the bench to Kate and Kristin's specifications. Meanwhile with assistance from Barossa Mosaic the Community Hub team and school children created many mosaic squares to create a quilt-like mosaic draped over the seat. In January 2021 all squares were placed and the bench grouted! A massive undertaking and a very beautiful community creation.

Eva's Table

In 2017 Eva's table needed a facelift - a mosaic - a well established grounded tree. Kate and Kristin travelled to Glenbrook and started the process: sourcing tiles from the local tile shop's skip, developing a design with Eva and Tim. The next day friends arrived with their tools, lots of energy and enthusiasm and the mosaic was created. Many skills were developed and shared. A great day! The mosaic was then transferred onto the glass and finally grouted. Still today the mosaic is the highlight of Eva and Tim's deck!
