Jewellery Workshop

Barossa Mosaic is running an introductory workshop to mosaic jewellery. An  individual,  beautiful piece of jewellery will be made. If you have broken dress jewellery and would like to integrate this into your piece, please bring it along.

We are offering you workshop sessions:  to develop a new design,  source materials and figure out how to best fabricate your project, finishing off, trouble-shooting and working in a supported environment on your project.

This workshop will teach methods to create a weather-proof substructure, techniques that can be translated into any sculptural outdoor piece for mosaic. It is suitable for beginners and experienced mosaic artists.

You will work with a polystyrene core, a solid base and with polymer-enhanced concrete. You will develop a design for your decoration and learn different tile cutting techniques.

Paver Making

Learn a new technique and make your own paver! Make your first piece and develop many skills to tackle more complex projects. We will cover design, cutting technique of different materials, create your individual design with ceramic tiles. You will take away a finished paver and the mould and know-how to make many more!

This workshop will enable you to explore different drawing techniques and ideas in developing a design and layout for a mosaic. This is an essential course for those looking for ways to make progress using their visual voice. Plus a short introduction to preparing and finishing off your mosaics by Kristin Wohlers.
